The food was hit-or-miss, with some dishes poorly cooked while others were decent. Service had its ups and downs, particularly with inattentive waiting staff. On the bright side, the atmosphere was welcoming, and my room was comfortable. With a bit more consistency, it could be much better.

Convenient location near Longleat made it easy for our family trip.
The room was too cold due to a lack of proper window sealing.

Comfy bed, lovely breakfast, great location, with convenient free parking and friendly service from a staff member during breakfast.
Nothing to fault.

Check out the cozy vibes of this place. I loved the comfy bed and the tasty food at the pub. The lovely beer garden is perfect for chilling with a drink, and the outdoor seating is just as relaxing. The toilet was a bit low, making things tricky, but that didn’t spoil my stay at all! 🛏️

Great stay with a few hiccups
I spent two nights here and the room was super comfy, really clean, and had a cute four-poster bed. Breakfast was decent, but kinda weird that toast wasn’t included as a side. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed during a wedding event, but overall it was a nice stay. Just wish they’d told us about the loud function at check-in.

Friendly staff made our stay amazing
We had a lovely stay for 3 nights. The breakfast was a hit, especially the Nutella croissants my kid loved! Kate was super friendly, and Matt really helped us out with our WiFi issue—big kudos to him! Just wish we could’ve gotten to know the manager a bit more. great vibes but the drinks were pricey.

The family suite was spotless, with a fun bunk bed that thrilled my son. A lovely garden and play area where ducks waddled about. Breakfast was a highlight. the porridge was warm and comforting, while the evening meals were generous and delicious. Unfortunately, we experienced significant noise from the wedding below us, and the unsupervised children in nearby rooms disrupted our peace throughout the night. Just a heads-up, the bathroom fan was quite annoying and could be turned off abruptly.

Fantastic Family Gathering Spot!
We had a lovely time here celebrating a special occasion with family! The carvery was the highlight—delicious and limitless Yorkshire puddings! Staff were friendly, but a bit more attention would be great. Enjoy the outdoor space, especially for kids. Definitely planning our next visit soon!

Absolutely loved the food here! The steak and ale pie was the best I've ever tasted—so tender! The only drawback was the creaky bed that disturbed our sleep a bit. 😅
